Ma non parla della BP e del più grande disastro ambientale che ci sia mai stato.
Parla dei mondiali e delle tifose sugli spalti che fanno a gara a chi è più svestita.

Quando questo accade su un DB server, non è bello.

La Roma che conosco la porto sempre dentro
nei giorni di burrasca e in quelli senza vento.
Tra vicoli, palazzi, bar, trattorie
so’ centomila strade ..e sono tutte mie.

"per installare basta scrivere apt-get install "$SOFTWARE_NUOVISSIMO_APPENA_SCOPERTO_SU_SYNAPTIC".
Solitamente si tratta di uno dei soliti mns-like ism, oppure un software che esiste da anni.

Setting gnome-shell as the default window manager
Gnome Shell will be the new window manager in Gnome 3, but it can be used in the current version of Gnome by installing the gnome-shell package, and running ‘gnome-shell –replace’ in a terminal.
To have Gnome Shell as the default window manager, setting the WINDOW_MANAGER environment variable won’t work in Gnome 2.28. Instead you need to install ‘gconf-editor’ using your package manager, then go to:

and set the ‘windowmanager’ key to ‘gnome-shell’ instead of ‘metacity’.

Allow Multiple Connection With Remote Desktop on Windows XP
Everybody knows that Windows XP does not allow multiple sessions/connections with remote desktop.
This behaviour is decided cause of EULA (only one user can login), but in Windows XP SP2 Beta this restrictions was removed.
It's possible to re-enable this feature:
- Download termserv.zip and unzip where you want.
- Start windows in safe mode
- Copy termserv.dll from unzipped directory into %windir%\system32 and %windir%\ServicePackFiles\i386. Rename the original termserv.dll into termserv.old from dllcache (%windir%\system32\dllcache)
- Enable Fast User Switching from Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on or off and enable Fast User Switching.
- Insert reg "Concurrent Connections SP2.reg" from directory where you unzipped termserv.zip. If you want to do registry modification by hand, go to start > run > regedit
Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Terminal Server\Licensing Core
Change EnableConcurrentSessions value to "1". If does not exist, create a dword key with this name and set it to "1".
- Open Group Policy Editor (start > run > gpedit.msc). Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Terminal Services and change value "Limit Number of Connections" with a number you want. This value set number of concourrent connections via rdp.
- Restart Windows normally and test.
Enjoy.

Windows XP Guest - Jaunty Host - Usb
First of all, USB will not work in VirtualBox if you are using the Open Source Edition (OSE) of VirtualBox. Get the full closed-source edition of VirtualBox from their website. There are many differences between the open-source edition and the closed-source version and one of them is USB.
I finally got USB working with Windows XP running as a guest inside VirtualBox running on a Ubuntu Jaunty host. First find out what the group id of the vboxusers group is:
$ grep vbox /etc/group
vboxusers:x::david
Then, enable the deprecated /proc/bus/usb inteface:
$ sudo gedit /etc/init.d/mountkernfs.sh
Add the following line after /proc is mounted, at the end of the do_start() function.
domount usbfs "" /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs -onoexec,nosuid,nodev,devgid=,devmode=664
replacing with the you found in the first step. Make sure to reboot.
This didn't work for me until I rebooted. There you have it.
You shouldn't have to edit /etc/init.d/mountdevsubfs.sh or /etc/fstab as some other internet sources have suggested.

Perchè?
Perchè?
Perchè sbattere la testa davanti a un muro, quando sai già che ti farai male?
Perchè non ascoltare chi ti vuole bene, veramente?
Perchè pensare che come nei libri tutto finirà rose e fiori, ma non considerare quanto sangue uscirà dal pungersi con le spine?
Perchè dimenticare le esperienze passate, e non imparare da esse?
Le persone non cambiano. Alcune ti illudono. Altre fingono. Altre le sopravvaluti.
Altre ancora cambiano al variare dei contesti.
Ora qualcuno, volendo fare lo psicologo, cercherà di interpretare quello che ho scritto, cercando di capire a chi mi riferisca. Lasciate perdere. Il tempo lo rivelerà.

I 10 comandi linux usati più spesso
E' quasi l'una di notte....ho preso un caffè,a cena, e bevuto della coca-cola.
Risultato: non riesco a dormire.
Pensavo, leggendo qualche mail,di inserire una nuova categoria nel blog: quella degli script.
Non importa in quale linguaggio....possono essere Perl, bash, python, $shell_più_improbabile, php ecc.ecc
Ho deciso di collezionarli e metterli a disposizione della comunità.
Gli script sono un vero punto di forza di GNU/Linux...quante volte mi hanno salvato la vita!
Ovviamente, ne esistono molti che fanno la stessa cosa, ma questo fa parte della filosofia GNU/Linux: non esiste un solo modo per risovere un problema.
Questo è il primo: server ad elencare i 10 comandi usati più spesso.
